  • You wonder what will keep you relevant or if you will be cast aside.
  • You are unhappy in your career and want a direction with more meaning.

Q: Can I talk to someone about it first?

A: Absolutely!  CLICK HERE to book your complimentary Jumpstart Strategy Session with Larry Jacobson, creator of the program.

Q: How long is the course?

A: Sail Into Retirement contains 9 Course Modules consisting of 18 videos with interactive work following each module. The recommended length of time to complete the course is 10 weeks to keep your momentum up. This is for the 9 weekly modules plus a catch-up week. Module videos vary in length. On average, you should plan on spending an hour to an hour and a half working on the subject matter of each module. Your access to all course materials is 12 weeks from your start date, giving you plenty of time to complete the program.

For VIP Private Retirement Coaching, 9-16 weeks is recommended for this course, as we understand sometimes there are conflicts to scheduling personal sessions.  This will be personalized to the convenience and schedule of you and your coach. You will have access to the entire Sail Into Retirement online interactive video course and will do your interactive followup work on your own or live via phone or Skype with your coach. You will have access to all materials and your coach for 20 weeks from your start date.

Q: Can I complete the course in a shorter time by studying more than one module per week?

A: You can...it's your course. However, our experience shows that it's best to let your mind absorb each module for a week  before moving on to the next module.

Q: How will I get my Plan of Action?

A: You will receive your personal Plan of Action through your private Client Portal that you will be working with during the program. The final wrap-up is a live phone or Skype call with Larry Jacobson to review your plan.

Q: Will I get any personal feedback on my work?

A: Yes! After each lesson, you'll submit your work, ideas, and questions to your coach through your private client portal. Some of your work will have feedback, both positive and negative, giving direction and asking questions. Then in the final wrap-up, you'll get live feedback via phone or Skype. You get the best of all coaching methods--the online interactive video classroom with written feedback from your coach, the ability to ask questions of me at any time via your private client portal, and a final private live session at the end of the course.

The amount of personal attention a student receives between modules is unprecedented in the coaching industry. With Sail Into Retirement, you get the online classroom and plenty of access to your private coach. While it's not live coaching, it is personal from your coach just for you. Our clients are having great success with the online classroom.

Buoy Coaching is passionate about seeing our clients' success. The more we can interact with you directly, the more success you'll have.

Q: I've never heard of non-financial retirement planning. Is this new?

A: Nearly all retirement planning is fiscal planning. The biggest question has been, "Do you have enough money to retire?" Now that successful baby-boomers are retiring at the rate of 10,000 per day, the 2nd biggest question has arisen, "What will you do with your time in retirement?" Yes, the industry is very new and you have landed on the site of an industry leader, proving how good it is to be lucky.

Q: How much financial advice is given during the course?

A: None. That's for your financial advisor. However, we do address whether or not your dreams and goals are within financial reach.

Q: How do I get started with Sail Into Retirement?

A: There are three ways to learn the Sail Into Retirement system.

1. Enroll and complete the Sail Into Retirement Online Interactive Video Classroom. This is the most effective straight-forward, easy to learn method, and its value for the dollar can't be beat.

2. Some people want more personalized interaction and sign up for VIP Private Coaching.  The program includes the entire Sail Into Retirement program videos, and the interactive post video work done on your own before each live session or done together live with your coach. You can also meet with Larry at his office in the San Francisco bay area. The interaction is 60-90 minutes for each module and Larry has a reputation for digging deep to find the answers for you. Value for the dollar is also extremely high when compared to corporate coaching companies. However, due to the time intensity of this program, there are a limited number of clients accepted.

3. The third way Sail Into Retirement is delivered will be through a weekend retreat. Sorry, no more information is available at this time, but the plan is for sometime in 2016.

Q: I've heard that corporate coaching companies are charging executives more than $30,000 for this kind of coaching. Why is your program only $1,997?

A: One of the goals of Buoy Coaching is to help new retirees make a non-fiscal retirement plan without breaking the bank. Our research proved that video and home study are extremely effective for learning. When we combined that with our teaching and business experience, the Online Interactive Video Classroom was born. While our up front investment of experience, time, research, and money was significant, the economies of scale allow us to keep the price within the reach of most new retirees.

Q: Can I pay for the program in installments?

A: Yes! Buoy Coaching uses PayPal, one of the most reliable and secure payment companies in the world. You can pay using your PayPal account, or any of the major credit cards. When you check out, select either the one time payment product or the installment product. Both are the same, but the installment product tells Paypal you want to spread your payments over four (4) months. And, unlike most coaching companies who charge a huge premium for this option, Buoy Coaching keeps the surcharge to a mere 5%. We want to you to have this knowledge and are doing all we can to make it easy for you.

Q: What can I expect from my coach?

A: Your coach is a partner in seeking your success. He will:

  • Be a partner in bringing out the best, the deepest, and truest in you;
  • Provide safety, encouragement and support; an environment in which you can relax and explore;
  • Respect the confidentiality of the agreements we make;
  • Expand your view of what is possible and promote discovery of new insights;
  • Give you input, straight feedback and operate as a sounding board;
  • Listen carefully to what you say and ask questions that increase awareness;
  • Be an on-going resource for you in accomplishing your intentions.

Q: What is expected of me?

A: Listen, watch, and respond by doing the homework and giving your deepest, truest thoughts to the program. Complete the course and follow up with the 10th session live call.

Q: What if I sign up for this course and then decide it's not right for me? Do you have a guarantee?

A: Yes, of course! It's 100% no risk for you. We're confident you'll be a raving fan of Sail Into Retirement. We also know that if you follow the videos and do the work in the Digital Action Guide, you will have a life-changing experience and will feel happy and confident about your retirement.

However, sometimes there just isn't a fit between program and student so we offer the Smooth Sailing Guarantee:  If you watch the videos and do the homework through Lesson Two, including entering your work into the Digital Action Guide, and still feel it's not for you, just let us know and you'll receive a 100% refund of your course tuition.

Keep in mind that the lessons build on each other and it's the entire system as a whole that will provide your Plan of Action and the answers to what's next for you in your retirement. We ask that you trust the system because our experience shows that it works.

Q: Can I switch from the Online Video program to VIP Personal Coaching?

A: Your information, the fact that you enrolled with us, and any communication between you and your coach is 100% confidential. This site is protected by a username/password system. You are the only one that has access to your information. Testimonials are completely voluntary.

A: Yes. You will need to log in initially using the password assigned to you. Once you log in, you can change your password at any time in your Profile  found in the MENU bar.

Q: What if I forget or lose my password and login information?

A: If you forgot your password, you can still go to the Login page by clicking the Login link. Click on the blue link "forgot password" to the right of the "Login" button and, in the new "Forgot Password" window, enter your username and click on the "Continue" button. Q: I’m trying to log in, but it will not accept my username or password, what do I do?
